The wheel hub bearing unit is developed on the basis of standard angular contact ball bearings and tapered roller bearings. It integrates two sets of bearings into one unit and has the advantages of good assembly performance, no clearance adjustment, light weight, compact structure, large load capacity, grease can be pre-loaded for sealed bearings, no external wheel hub seals and maintenance-free.
It has been widely used in cars and is also gradually expanding its application in trucks. The wheel hub bearing is a part that connects the tire (rotating part)/brake disc (rotating part) and the steering knuckle. Its main function is to reduce friction for the rotating pair and also plays a role in transmitting force. It bears very large radial loads (vehicle weight) and axial loads (lateral force of the tire or lateral impact force when turning).
